I’ve lived in London since I was three years old, which means I’ve done all my schooling here and went on to spend eleven years working in the corporate world (frequenting many of the London watering holes after a hard day at the office!) Therefore, I know how to get from point A to B via the quickest route, where the good pubs/eating places are and how to get off the well-trodden tourist trail to the places where real Londoners hang out.

I provide an insider’s perspective on its numerous attractions and rich history, and can assist with ideas for nights out or onward exploration.

I am a qualified London Blue Badge Guide, which is a two year course and enables me to guide both London and places outside the capital including Bath, Stratford Upon Avon and Oxford.

I was born in London, grew up in London, and would love to share my enthusiasm with you, letting you discover London’s sights, sounds and secrets (with a few historical scandals along the way). London is truly a unique city, offering over 2000 years of glorious, and sometimes dark, history, also at the cutting edge of fashion, architecture, art and business. I would love to show you both sides of the capital, the historic castles, museums, palaces and shops, as well as the London of today, that we Londoners call home.

With a background in corporate hospitality and events, I like to add a sparkle to any tour, and find the particular twist that you are looking for.

I am a dynamic, enthusiastic and passionate tour guide whose aim is to inform, educate and entertain. With a background in professional theatre, I believe the essence of good guiding is storytelling and as a gifted communicator I aim to bring the story of London to life for you.

A youthful, engaging Blue Badge Guide with a insatiable curiosity for London. Stepping onto the streets of this city is to enter a novel: a 2000-year-old novel. My aim is to bring London’s rich, extraordinary, and often dark past to life and use it to explain the London that we live in today.

With my passion for exploring and working with people, I was a tour guide in Spain and France for 5 years, before returning to the UK. I was born in London, and my love of this incredible city has never left me. Let me show you some of the most magical sites of London, including Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral, The National Gallery, The Tower of London and The British Museum. Or we could discover the hidden secrets of the historical City, or the grand highlights of Westminster, with the spectacular and colourful Changing of The Guard. I have worked extensively in international communications and advertising, including Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide, on both the creative and event side and travelled widely.

I was born and went to school in London and although I have travelled extensively, I have always lived in London. After training in a full time course for three years at the Central School of Speech & Drama, I graduated in 1980 with a Diploma in Acting and became a professional actor, working not only in Britain, but in many European countries in all mediums – film, television, theatre and radio. I am a City of London Guide and have gained endorsements at the British Museum, Canterbury Cathedral, Somerset House, Salisbury Cathedral and 2012 London Venues. I am also a member of the team of specially qualified Blue Badge Guides who work at the Palace of Westminster in conjunction with the Parliamentary Education Unit, guiding visitors through both Houses of Parliament during the summer recess. I have worked as a registered Examiner on the City of London Guide Training Course and as a tutor on the London Blue Badge Guide Training Course on behalf of The Institute of Tourist Guiding.

American by birth, I came to London in 1995 to launch The History Channel where I spent 13 years as Managing Director. Now I spend my time guiding, rowing on the Thames and walking in the Apennines. I like guiding people who are curious about history and culture (high and low), and who enjoy a good wander and a good conversation…although I can do all the talking if they prefer! What I like most is seeing people get the buzz that London gives me.

An enthusiastic guide and natural storyteller, guiding visitors around this incredible city is my pleasure. A Londoner by birth, I have a deep and broad understanding of what makes this city tick.
